Dermal fillers are most commonly used on the face, where they can add volume to droopy cheeks, sunken temples, and depressed tear troughs, and address general skin laxity. However, not all fillers can correct the same issues. At the Centre for Aesthetic + Reconstructive Surgery, we are pleased to offer a variety of dermal filler types and formulations, enabling us to meet the specific needs of each person who walks through our doors.
Fillers Available at Our Office
Dermal fillers available at our comfortable East Greenwich office include:
- JUVÉDERM®. With formulations including Vollure, Volbella, and Voluma, JUVÉDERM fillers treat nasolabial folds, skin laxity and volume loss, lip lines, and facial wrinkles. Some JUVÉDERM formulations can last for as long as 24 months.
- Restylane®. With options including Lyft, Defyne, Refyne, and Silk, Restylane fillers address marionette lines, volume and contour loss, nasolabial folds, fine lines, deep wrinkles, and more. Restylane Silk is ideal for lip augmentation, while Lyft is approved for treating thin and crepey skin on the back of the hands.
- Sculptra®. A unique poly-L-lactic acid filler, Sculptra adds immediate and long-term volume to the treatment area and can address issues including marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and lines and wrinkles throughout the face.
Though all fillers can address multiple issues, each is formulated for specific concerns. The problems being treated, the formulation used, and factors unique to your anatomy will impact how long your results last. During your initial consultation, we will listen carefully to your desires, discuss the abilities and limitations of different filler options, and help you choose the right solution for your needs.
A Quick Look at Wrinkle Relaxers
Dermal fillers correct skin laxity and static wrinkles like lip lines and nasolabial folds. However, they cannot correct crow’s feet, forehead creases, frown lines, and similar dynamic wrinkles. For these, we recommend a wrinkle relaxer such as BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport®.
Wrinkle relaxers can be administered simultaneously with dermal fillers if multiple issues need correcting. During your initial consultation, we will help you determine if a combination of treatments will be best for your needs.
