Here at the Centre for Aesthetic + Reconstructive Surgery, we strive to provide all of our clients with the best options to keep their skin looking young and healthy. That’s why we’ve recently added Glytone chemical peels to our collection of excellent chemical peels.
Is a Glytone Peel Right for Me?
Glytone peels are an excellent way to rejuvenate and refresh aging skin, but they are not for everyone. The best way to find out if a Glytone peel is right for you is to schedule a free initial consultation with our skincare specialist Anne Corey. Anne is a highly qualified medical aesthetician with more than ten years of experience. During your personal examination, she will take into account your specific anti-aging concerns and goals, and recommend the right facial treatment for you.
Which Glytone Peel Should I Choose?
We are pleased to offer several different professional, in-office Glytone peels. Which one best suits your needs?
Jessner Peel
Reverse the signs of aging skin with a Jessner peel. This treatment reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and sunspots while improving skin tone, giving you brighter, healthier, and more youthful-looking skin.
Mandelic Peel
Get back your natural color with the Mandelic Peel. This peel is perfect for those individuals whose skin is susceptible to temporary or permanent redness. Not only does it work to effectively reduce the redness, it also improves overall texture and shrinks pores.
Eye and Lip Peel
Turn back the clock on mild to moderate sun-damaged skin around your eyes and lips with Glytone’s Eye and Lip Peel. You can significantly increase skin firmness, improve the appearance of wrinkles, lines, and hyperpigmentation in the eye and mouth areas with this peel. This treatment also works to address dark circles under the eyes and sunspots that develop over time.
Décolletage Peel
While your face probably gets most of the attention, your neck and décolletage can show the same telltale signs of aging. That’s where the Décolletage Peel comes in. This therapy decreases the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, improves skin firmness and elasticity, evens out skin tone and texture, and decreases the appearance of mild dark spots and hyperpigmentation around the neck and décolleté.
What Can I Expect After a Glytone Peel?
While there is little to no downtime associated with these powerful peels, we recommend patients to wait at least two hours before getting the treated area wet following treatment. We also advise that you avoid strenuous exercise on the day of the procedure in order to ensure the best results. After the peel is neutralized, a thin layer of a skin recovery cream can be applied and should be continued for three to five days. It’s also important to protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen for a minimum of seven days post-treatment. You’ll typically notice results after just one peel, but we recommend a series of treatments for an ideal outcome.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Side effects with Glytone peels are typically very mild and are comparable to other chemical peels. Most patients experience some redness, inflammation, and puffiness, but those symptoms usually subside within a day or two.
